Sapphire Solo (2005)The Sapphire Solo is 22 carat gold copy of the Yamaha Bobo Solo tuba mouthpiece. It about one inch long and has the exact proportions of the Bobo Solo mouthpiece. The mouthpiece was a gift for Shuko Kuramoto for the translating she had done for me on several occasions. Because blue was her favorite color I had a .5 carat sapphire set on the outer bowl of the mouthpiece.
